— We finished migrating the new dev server
— We finished the new map block system to deliver the map properly
— Starting working again on the Items/Inventory, more specifically on the impact of each item on the global features
Building facilities has been fixed. Since we started to re-write the codebase, the game was not in a playable state. Even thought the game is pretty unpolished now (only need some more time), we will be able to play again as soon as we finished to re-work troops production and attacks.
To collect resources, you have to collect them by clicking on the bubble above resources production buildings. It was not working properly and needed a fix. It is also relying on placeholders.
We welcomed Lings this week who will help us on those features. He has a great experience with Unreal particle system, exactly what we needed to add some cool ingame effects like when collecting those resources for example !
Regarding placeholders I am replacing some of them with some assets made by our artists, mainly buildings. Solved lighting issues making buildings and buildings slots to be rendered in black. There’s still a lot of room to improve rendering and optimization but that will come after we get most of the features back on track again.
We also work on :
- builder status
- Touch input update
- Show current energy
- Server call optimization : loading less unnecessary data, and cashed the one used between levels.
We are making progress on the design of the website, we will soon release the companion application so that we can monitor the ambassador program that is coming in the next few weeks to rewards active players with airdrops and NFTs.
